Magnolia Cycles is NWA’s local, independently owned bike shop — a fit-focused shop and frame-building studio in Rogers, Arkansas. We sell a small selection of bikes we believe in, service everything that rolls in the door, and design custom steel frames for riders who want something built around them.
Our story
Built around the rider.
Magnolia Cycles was founded in 2007 in Memphis, Tennessee, with a single goal — to provide custom-tailored bicycles, crafted one at a time to suit each rider’s needs. In September of 2022 Magnolia found a new home in Rogers, Arkansas, and broadened its focus to offer service and fit-focused sales alongside its custom fabrication.
At Magnolia Cycles we believe in education and open dialogue. Yes, we repair, fit and build bikes — but we also strive to give the why behind the what, so you understand your bike and everything around it. The mission is to bring a new experience in bike service. This is a place where being different is a good thing.

Michael Crum
Owner · Frame Builder · Master Bike Mechanic
Michael was that kid, hanging out after school at the local bike shop of his home town in Arkansas. As soon as he graduated from high school, he attended the United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, Oregon and built his first custom bike in 1997. Since then, he’s worked in the bike industry all over the country. Landing in NWA in 2015, Michael wrenched in local bike shops, and in 2017–2020 was the founding faculty at Thaden School, where he developed the cycling education program. He managed quality control for Allied Cycles until, ultimately, deciding to open his own shop, Magnolia Cycles.
Michael Humpal
Master Bike Mechanic
Truly a life-longer, Michael’s career began early in his family’s bike shop in Illinois, which led to years managing other shops, and eventually a decade owning and running his own. After making the move to NWA, Michael began coaching youth in cycling, and is now wrenching on bikes again at Magnolia. He loves a clean bike (voted having the cleanest bikes in his home race series!) and brings the shop a wealth of knowledge with his 20+ years as a mechanic — evident in the elevated level of service he provides.
